A little list of places I’d like to visit.
So Technically I have visited Lisbon before when I had an overnight stay when transferring flight. But as I didn’t leave the airport, it obviously doesn’t count.
I believe the picture above illustrates perfectly why Lisbon is somewhere I really want to visit. The architecture is stunning. Although it is one of the oldest cities in the world, Lisbon is colourful and vibrant.Being such an old city, it has lots of historical attractions. This includes a Medieval monastery, a Moorish castle and 12th-century cathedral.
Another vibrant bustling city. One thing that draws me to Marrakech is the colour. I’m desperate to visit the souks and markets to buy some colourful tiles and carpets. Somewhere to see the magnificence of the Morrocan tiles is the Saadian Tombs. Discovered in 1917, the tombs are an architectural marvel.
Marrakech offers a busy city break but also has areas offering relaxation and retreat. Hammams are traditional spa and public bath houses that offer a sense of luxury.
If you haven’t guessed by this list already, I’m a lover of a city break. One of the things I enjoy most about visiting different cities is the offering of street food and Tokyo is no exception.
Who isn’t excited by the sight of sky-high buildings, bright flashing lights, and bustling streets? But it isn’t just the food and colour that fills me with wanderlust, it’s the beauty spots such as the Meiji Jingu Shrine, a Japanese temple, situated in Yoyogi Park.
Straying from the trend of cities, The Galapagos Islands are somewhere I have always longed to visit. I’m yearning to in Darwin’s footsteps and discover the vast array of wildlife.
The islands are home to animals that no longer exist anywhere else in the world, making it the perfect travel destination for wildlife lovers like me.
